Enjoy your Calvert County summer!

"Working Hard for Calvert County Every Day!"

This past legislative session I introduced 25 pieces of legislation. This is considered a lot by most standards. I try to truly embody representative democracy so I introduced pieces of legislation that people from Calvert County have asked me to work on. They range from a family day care safety bill, family farm estate tax exemption, right to earn a living on the water, clamming shore line restrictions, long distance charge exemption if calling within the county, student medical safety plans, an ATV children's injury task force, animal ordinance updates and many others. You can go to my official state site to get the entire list and direct links to the bill language. Always feel free to call my office or e-mail me if you have any questions on the status of bills or you can go to the Maryland Legislative Information Services (MLIS) website (http://mlis.state.md.us/) and look up individual bills and their outcome.

We continue to keep BGE's feet to the fire with the Public Service Commission as they promise to improve electrical services to the people in the Twin Beach area. If you are experiencing problems with your electrical service, please contact my office with details.

We are also pursuing Verizon with the Public Service Commission as they continue to overcharge consumers (we believe) in Calvert County for long distance charges within the county.

Thank you - have a safe and enjoyable summer.
