Girl Scouts Honored
Southern Maryland
Tri-County Girl Scouts Lauded
Girl Scouts from St. Mary's, Charles and Calvert
counties were honored on May 22nd at a special awards event at the American
Legion in Hughesville. On hand were (bottom below, back row, left) MD State
Delegate John Wood Jr. and Girl Scout Association 10 Chair Lynn Weinberger
and, on the right in the same row, MD State Delegate Sue Kullen and MD State
Senator Roy Dyson. Among the honorees: 15 Gold Award recipients (the top
award a Girl Scout can earn), 49 Silver Award recipients, three Silver
Trefoil recipients, 22 graduating seniors who have received more than
$300,000 in scholarships, and one Girl Scout who served as a Congressional
Aide on Capitol Hill.
