Thank you to everyone who joined the
hundreds of participants and visitors to the annual North Beach Polar
Bear Swim in the Chesapeake Bay on Tuesday, January 1, 2009. The
skies were blue, the weather was very wintery and with little wind.
Nearly 200
registered bathers dashed into the Chesapeake Bay while at least three times
that number watched from the sidelines.
This year, as in the past,
Delegate Kullen and her campaign team passed out over 10 gallons of
home-made chili to over 100 wet and appreciative participants of the swim.

Thanks to the Town of North
Beach for including us in such a wonderful community event, and to
Mayor Mike Bojokles and his Administration and Public Works crew for
setting up the event.
