Over 125 people attended the first Fall Family Fun Day in support of Delegate Sue Kullen and to meet special guest, Congressman Steny Hoyer at the Patuxent River-side historic home and farm of Dr. James Dudley on October 29th.

Children had fun painting pumpkins, dressing up for Halloween, winning prizes for the best costume, enjoying the "moon bounce," and challenging each other with many games. Parents enjoyed meeting Delegate Kullen and Congressman Hoyer as well as sharing a moment with some of Calvert County's most heralded political leaders.

Senator Bernie Fowler and his wife, Betty, joined former county treasurer Jessie Jo Bowen, current County Commissioner Wilson Parran and his wife, Debbie, along with former County Commissioner Mary Krug and many other elected officials to celebrate this first family gathering with live music and succulent home made food, hot apple cider and various desserts.

While the weather was brisk, guests enjoyed the sights and social atmosphere. "It's great to see everyone here in celebration of this beautiful county and Dr. Dudley's wonderful historic home. People came from all parts of the county, bringing their children, to enjoy this day," noted Delegate Kullen. "I can't thank the families, the friends, the supporters and our sponsors enough - thank you."

Children decorate many pumpkins with the help of their parents and friends.
